Tricks for a Delicious Rice Pudding | Turkish Dessert Sütlaç

Rice Pudding :

The queen of desserts with its fragrant smell, rice pudding is a very famous dessert in the Black Sea region of Turkey. Although the ingredients are few, it is very tasty and is made by cooking milk and rice.

Ingredients :

2 litres of milk
1 cup rice (200 grams)
1 cup sugar (300 grams)
2 full tablespoons of starch
2 cups of water

Preparation :

1. Wash the rice thoroughly and then boil it with two cups of water.
2. After the rice has absorbed the water, add 2 litres of milk.
3.when the milk boils, we boil it for another 10 minutes on low heat.
4.after making sure that the rice is cooked, dilute two spoons of starch with water and slowly stirring, then add the sugar, add a little salt with the tip of your finger and add a little salt. When our rice pudding becomes homogenised, we divide it into oven containers.
5. Put the milk pudding in the oven pots in a preheated 175 degree oven and bake until golden brown.

Tricks:

•  Add a bowl of water to the bottom of the oven so that your oven pans do not crack
•  It can be stored in the fridge for about a week and you can consume it whenever you want.
•  If you want to make less dessert, you can reduce the recipe measure by half.
•  Put the rice pudding in the oven immediately after removing it from the stove while it is hot.
•  You can consume it plainly from the stove without cooking in the oven, but be careful to rest it.
•  You can decorate with hazelnut pieces
•  You can consume hot in cold weather
